Cooperation Program between
Latin America, the Caribbean and
the European Union on drug policy

Results by work areas

The drug phenomenon has a global dimension that makes it necessary to strengthen international collaboration between the EU, Latin America and Caribbean countries.

In line with the European Drug Strategy (2021–2025), both regional and national actions of the programme are based on shared principles: joint responsibility, multilateralism, development approach, respect for human rights and dignity, strengthening of the rule of law and compliance with international drug control conventions.

The COPOLAD III programme aims to promote bi-regional technical cooperation on drug policies, and these are the main results achieved in its areas of work.
