We support Argentina in the implementation of its National Drug Demand Reduction Plan. The accompaniment focuses on the generation of empirical evidence.
Highlights include the strengthening of National Drug Observatories, as well as the development of wastewater study protocols to identify synthetic drugs.

Humanisation of justice in drug-related offences
Incorporation of the gender approach, with specific considerations for women and LGTBIQ+ people, in a study on addiction treatment for users of the federal network of Community Residential Homes of the Secretariat for Comprehensive Drug Policies of Argentina (SEDRONAR).
Development of a protocol for wastewater studies to identify the presence of synthetic drugs and others that are difficult to detect.
Start of the development of guidelines, standards and good practices for operators of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, related to gender-based violence, drug trafficking and human trafficking (in line with the the Guidelines to jointly address situations in which women and LGTBIQ+ trafficked persons are involved in the production, transit or commercialisation of drugs, approved by AIAMP).
